Looking for a powerful yet luxurious sedan? Check out these monsters that will destroy most muscle cars.

Plenty of sedans are designed for luxury and comfort. However, manufacturers tend to throw in a special performance model specifically for gearheads that want the best of both worlds. Manufacturers like Mercedes and BMW have been doing this for a long time with their M and AMG divisions making specialist performance vehicles.

These performance sedans don’t skimp on the luxury, but rather double-down on the performance. While the standard versions of these sedans may come with economical engines, the performance variants are stacked with impressive V8s that can easily devour any track you put them on. Looking for a list of some of the most powerful sedans on the market? You’re in the right place. Here are 10 luxury sedans that will absolutely destroy most muscle cars.

10 Bentley Flying Spur

Bentley is one of the most popular and exclusive luxury car manufacturers in the world. While the British car marker was synonymous with luxury and wealth in the 60s and 70s, the modern Continental GT and Flying Spur have given the historic brand a breath of fresh air.

The third-generation Bentley Flying Spur comes with a 4-liter V8 engine along with an 8-Speed PDK from the Volkswagen Group. The impressive V8 produces over 542 hp, with the hybrid version adding even more torque to the luxury sedan. This allows the sedan to accelerate from 0 to 60 in 4 seconds and achieve a top speed of 198 mph.

9 Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio

The Alfa Romeo Giulia is a compact executive car produced in Italy. While the sedan is designed to be a classy daily driver, Alfa Romeo created a performance version of the car, the Quadrifoglio. The performance sedan can accelerate from 0 to 60 in 3.6 seconds, making it one of the fastest sedans on the market.

This impressive version of the car features Alfa’s signature design, with the Quadrifoglio logo. The sedan comes with a more aggressive body kit, a four-pipe exhaust system, and a modified powertrain that can directly compete with the BMW M3, AMG C63, and the Cadillac ATS-V.

8 Mercedes-Benz AMG GT63

Mercedes-Benz has always led the market in luxury and performance. This sedan is based on the incredibly powerful AMG GT, the official Safety Car for Formula 1. The same V8 powertrain was used to create one of the most powerful sedans in the world.

The AMG GT 4-Door comes in a few different variants. These are the GT 43, GT 53, GT 63, GT 63S, and the GT 63 S E-Performance. The E-Performance version of the car leverages modern hybrid technology to produce 630 hp and 664 lb-ft of torque. This allows the car to accelerate from 0 to 60 in under 3 seconds and reach a top speed of over 200 mph.

7 Audi RS7

While many may jump straight to Bentley and Rolls-Royce for luxury performance sedans, Audi’s new RS7 has quietly managed to put them all to shame. The A7 range from Audi is known to be designed for executives that want some performance under the hood. The latest RS version of the Audi takes this to a whole new level with its twin-turbo V8 and Quattro AWD system.

The new Audi RS7 produces over 590 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque. The new model also features an active front grille that can open to allow for more air to cool the engine at higher speeds. The modern RS7 also comes with an aggressive exterior body kit with Audi’s signature dual RS exhaust system.

6 Porsche Taycan Turbo S

Based on the electric concept displayed at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, the Porsche Taycan showcased the future of Porsche and its sports cars. The Taycan built on the iconic image and build quality to create one of the fastest sedans in the world.

The Taycan came with 3 electric motors that could produce 761 hp and 774 lb-ft of torque. While other supercars may produce more torque, the Taycan leverages its electric powertrain to deliver instant torque whenever you may need it. The Turbo S model can accelerate from 0 to 60 in just 2.6 seconds, and has an electronically-limited top speed of 162 mph.

5 Tesla Model S

While gearheads may not like to admit it very often, electric cars are getting better and better every year. While most traditional carmakers are launching electric versions of their cars, EV brands like Tesla have a clear head start when it comes to performance.

This is evident by Tesla’s Model S Performance model, which can effortlessly accelerate from 0 to 60 in under 2 seconds. This is Bugatti-level acceleration in a sleek and modern sedan. Despite the 1020 hp motor and 200 mph top speed, many critics still question the build quality of Tesla compared to traditional manufacturers such as Porsche, BMW, and Mercedes.

4 BMW M5 CS

The BMW M5 CS is the most powerful vehicle that BMW produces. The performance sedan comes with an abundance of carbon fiber, making it around 250 lbs. lighter than the standard M5 sedan. The M5 CS also featured a 626 hp powertrain that could accelerate easily from 0 to 60 in under 3 seconds.

While the CS version of the M5 was incredibly powerful, the car still remained a luxurious sedan. Owners could spec their M5 to have Alcantara interiors and even carbon-fiber bucket seats. The M5 also came with BMW’s latest infotainment system and performance driver modes for performance at the touch of a button.

The SRT Hellcat is one of the most affordable performance sedans on the market today. Starting from around $80k, the impressive sedan can produce over 700 hp with ease. The Redeye version of the sedan takes this even further with around 800 hp that can accelerate to 60 in 3.5 seconds.

2 Jaguar XE SV Project 8

The Jaguar XE SV Project 8 is a limited-edition performance sedan from Jaguar. Released back in 2017, the 592 hp sedan impressed the entire industry with its aggressive styling and jaw-dropping track performance.

While the XE range from Jaguar was never particularly powerful, the SV Project 8 version of the car was specifically created to showcase the racing heritage of the brand in a modern sedan. This limited-production vehicle came with upgraded brakes, a modified powertrain, and an incredibly light body to help aid acceleration and handling.

1 BMW M8

The M8 is the M-Sport version of BMW’s 8 Series. While the 8 Series coupe was a beautifully designed coupe, BMW also released a 4-door version of the car. This Grand Coupe featured the same internals but came with an extended wheelbase for extra space and comfort.

The performance of the M8 Grand Coupe is similar to the Coupe model. The V8 powertrain can accelerate from 0 to 60 in 2.4 seconds, while also managing to reach 120 mph in under 11 seconds. The M Sport performance package extends the speed limiter from 155 to 190 miles per hour.
